Michael R. Lyons has more than 40 years of banking experience across retail and commercial banking, including the last 10 years with Citizens. His career began as a high school teller, where he discovered a passion for building customer relationships and helping businesses find financial solutions tailored to their goals — a customer-first philosophy that continues to guide his work today.

Throughout his career, Michael has witnessed the banking industry evolve from paper-based processes to sophisticated digital platforms. He has helped businesses adapt to changing financial landscapes by leveraging innovative banking, treasury management and digital solutions that support growth and operational efficiency.

A significant focus of Michael's career has been helping businesses protect themselves against fraud and cybersecurity threats. Having seen the financial and operational impact fraud can have on organizations, he is committed to educating clients on fraud prevention strategies, security best practices and the tools available to help safeguard their businesses.

Michael's expertise in business banking led him and his wife, Lori, to relocate from New York to Florida, where he continues to build strong relationships within the business community. Outside of work, Michael and Lori enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, Maeve and Jack. For Michael, family, community and helping businesses succeed remain at the heart of everything he does.
